Q2 2005 - Issue #4

MESSAGE FROM THE CEO

Welcome to the latest edition of the Accudata Technologies newsletter Good Call.

Recently, we have noticed a very strong demand in the VoIP and CLEC markets where our new clients and prospects are looking for a better, more flexible and innovative LIDB/CNAM provider. The critical factors seem to be:

  • Our simple, direct connectivity via IP connections rather than older, legacy solutions.
  • Our willingness to share revenue with our LIDB/CNAM storage customers (since the numbers belong to our customers who have entrusted us with them in the first place.)
  • Our ability to offer our customers' customers (specifically fast-moving telemarketing clients) the capability to make real-time online changes to company/campaign names for CNAM display.
  • Our innovative response of providing a new, exclusive Asterisk software interface.

In April, I had a fantastic trip to Washington D.C. to discuss the above points directly with the FCC. The attendees were quite fascinated.

Last quarter we successfully relocated our backup data center. The move was finalized over one weekend. Thanks to all the cooperation we received from customers and the dedication of our technical staff, we experienced no customer downtime at all. That's exactly how it's supposed to work. The new facility is a first-class collocation site in Richardson, Texas. Thank you for your support on this. Incidentally, this backup facility passed its first test on May 4 when our main office was hit by a 75-minute power outage that affected more than 20 square miles.

Also, I have been invited to serve on the Board of the Texas Chapter of the AeA (formerly known as the American Electronics Association), the largest association of high technology companies in the United States. I would be happy to bring issues to the AeA that our customers need to have advanced.

In this issue of Good Call you will find an employee profile on Accudata Director of Software, Kevin Nguyen. Kevin is responsible for all of our software development. Read more about him here.

Also in this issue, we will continue our series of profiles on interesting customers. In the last issue we featured DTech Billing, and I understand they won a few new clients, in part, as a result of the write-up. Congratulations to Dtech. This month, we feature Call Universal. In our "Problems and Solutions" column, we note recent market observations and hopefully provide some valuable ideas. We are always interested in your input for this area.

Finally, we hope you enjoy this edition of Good Call. Please feel free to contact me directly at any time with suggestions at gregs@accudatatech.com or (972) 390-2610 ext.101.

Respectfully,
M. Gregory Smith
President and CEO
