LIDB/CNAM Storage
As one of only 17 authorized
LIDB storage centers in the United States, Accudata is unique.
As the only company that built its
own LIDB from the ground up, Accudata is in a technological
class of its own.
The Accudata LIDB is available for LEC storage as well as
access by other operating companies.
LIDBs house most of the working telephone landlines in
North America and contain information ranging from
service/operational information to customers' names, payment
history indicator, and their preferred languages. This data is
critical to the normal operation of the phone line. Telephone
service providers need this information to display names on
caller ID, make credit decisions, ensure appropriate billing
and other necessary services that phone callers take for
granted.
Accudata
is the first in the industry to offer online, near-realtime updates into
our CNAM or LIDB database. Our customers can change displayed names,
or call blocks within a few minutes, rather than
waiting for up to 30 days! This
service is available through a browser page, or as
an API.
In addition to our traditional LIDB for landline service,
Accudata
has established a VoIP LIDB, or VIDB, and a Mobile Information
Database, or MIDB, to serve the fast-growing VOIP and wireless
markets. Our VIDB and MIDB perform the same functions and
provide the same benefits as a LIDB, but they're customized
to allow for the unique needs of these technologies. For
example, VoIP uses location addresses instead of traditional
phone numbers.
